The group issued a statement the day before, saying, "The process of declaring martial law, the contents of the proclamation, and the subsequent series of events were all unconstitutional," and added, "In particular, the attempts to mobilize the military and police to block the National Assembly and deploy special forces to neutralize it were clearly acts of rebellion."
They continued, "Nevertheless, President Yoon Suk-yeol, who should rightfully be arrested immediately as a criminal in the act, is still holding onto the presidency." The group also warned the People Power Party, which adopted a party stance opposing impeachment, stating, "They are a pro-Pyongyang group that condones the destruction of the constitutional order and rebellion, and will face judgment from history and the people."
The statement included the names of 120 Korean residents living in France.
Meanwhile, a rally was also held in Germany, centered around Korean residents. The day before, those gathered in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin called for President Yoon's resignation.
