Hanam Lions Club Donates 2,929 Children's Padding Jackets to Misa Riverside Comprehensive Social Welfare Center

Gyeonggi Hanam Lions Club (President Lee Jong-gil) delivered 2,929 children's padded jackets (worth 137.52 million KRW) to Hanam Misa Riverside Comprehensive Social Welfare Center (Director Jo Hye-yeon) on the 5th to help vulnerable children in the area prepare for a warm winter.

The delivery ceremony was held with the attendance of President Lee Jong-gil, Immediate Past President Han Woo-jung, President-elect Kang Pil-seong, Advisor Kang Hong-ryeol, Former Presidents Park Kyung-sik, Ahn Seung-cheol, Lee Cheol-woo, and Director Jo Hye-yeon. The donated children's padded jackets will be provided to vulnerable children in the local community.

Since its founding in 1985, Hanam Lions Club has supported the living needs of elderly people living alone and education for multicultural families. Starting in 2019, the club has continuously practiced beautiful sharing activities for vulnerable groups in the community by donating winter adult padded vests and children's training suits worth 10 million KRW to the welfare center, 2,000 sets of summer children's clothing in 2022, 2,700 sets of winter children's clothing in 2023, 1,300 summer children's clothing items in 2024, and now 2,929 winter children's padded jackets.

President Lee Jong-gil said, “In this difficult time when everyone is struggling due to abnormal weather such as unprecedented heavy snowfall in November, we gathered our hearts with the members to deliver these jackets so that children can safely and healthily overcome the winter cold.” He added, “We will continue to share with Hanam Misa Riverside Comprehensive Social Welfare Center so that children can spend a healthy winter and have a happy 2025.”

Director Jo Hye-yeon said, “I sincerely thank President Lee Jong-gil and the members for their continuous love and hope every year to help children grow up healthily.” She added, “The children's padded jackets, delivered with warm hearts, will be carefully distributed so that the children can spend the cold winter in good health.”
