Yangju City Supports Cold Disease Prevention for Field Workers Against Severe Cold

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 6th that it has established a "Cold Wave Response Plan for Preventing Cold-Related Illnesses among Field Workers" to prevent industrial accidents caused by cold-related illnesses during the winter cold wave period.

Targeting field workers who mainly perform outdoor tasks, the plan includes cold wave stage-specific response guidelines, emergency response procedures in case of cold-related illness occurrence, and a distribution plan for cold illness prevention supplies for outdoor workers, which have been communicated to each department.


The cold illness prevention supplies, consisting of neck warmers, cold weather gloves, and heat packs, will be distributed to each department starting from the 9th, along with cold illness prevention education and workplace inspections.


Moon Eun-kyung, Director of the Safety and Construction Division, stated, “We will do our best to minimize risks caused by cold waves through safety and health education and regular inspections, and to create a safe and healthy working environment.”
