Mayor Kim Dong-geun "We Were Able to Achieve Numerous Results as One Team"
Awarding Certificates of Commendation to 41 Individuals Including 2024 Regional Development Contributors and Model Citizens
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) held the ‘December 2024 Future Value Sharing Day’ on the 6th at the city hall auditorium, with over 150 employees gathered.

Future Value Sharing Day, held as a monthly event, is an occasion where the mayor and employees introduce the city's progressive vision and best practices, and share the future values to be pursued with focus.
At this final Future Value Sharing Day of the year, Mayor Kim Dong-geun delivered a message of gratitude and encouragement to all employees who have worked hard for the growth of Uijeongbu throughout the year.
Mayor Kim said, “Your efforts on the ground have been rewarding, and the hard work and dedication you have accumulated have translated into capability,” adding, “Thanks to this commitment, we were able to achieve numerous accomplishments as one united team (One Team).”
He also emphasized the achievements made together by the staff, saying, “The time we have invested will steadily become the foundation for the growth of Uijeongbu City,” and urged, “Let us continue the development of Uijeongbu, a city that changes our lives, through ongoing passion and cooperation.”
Meanwhile, the event included a session to share departmental visions for financial stability and the leap toward a smart city.
First, Lee Gyo-jae, head of the Delinquent Management Team in the Collection Division, explained plans to establish a sustainable and productive collection system to realize fair tax administration and secure local government grants. He also expressed his commitment to doing his best in collecting delinquent payments and securing resources so that welfare for citizens and various projects can proceed smoothly.
Next, Park In-young, head of the Smart Policy Team in the Smart City Division, stated, “Uijeongbu City has obtained the ‘2024 Smart City Certification’ hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport,” adding, “We will develop and provide more unique citizen-experience smart services exclusive to Uijeongbu City so that citizens can enjoy a more convenient and safer life.”
At the awards ceremony that day, Mayor Kim Dong-geun presented certificates of commendation to 41 individuals, including those who contributed to regional development in 2024 and exemplary citizens.
