Goyang-si "Use Munhwa Nuri Card Support Funds by the End of the Year"

Full 130,000 Won Support Fund Expires After December 31

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) urged citizens of Goyang who have received the Munhwa Nuri Card to make sure to use the Munhwa Nuri Card support funds by December 31, 2024.

The Munhwa Nuri Card, issued to expand cultural enjoyment opportunities for basic livelihood security recipients and low-income households, provides 130,000 KRW per person and can only be used until December 31 of the current year.

Support funds not used within the deadline will not be carried over to the next year and will be completely forfeited, so users need to be especially careful. In particular, those who do not use any of the funds will be excluded from the automatic recharge of support funds in 2025 and must apply directly during the issuance period (scheduled for February 2025) to receive support funds on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Munhwa Nuri Card can be used at affiliated stores nationwide both online and offline without residence restrictions. It can be used in various fields such as movie viewing, book purchases, intercity and express bus and train ticket purchases, and sports viewing. A Goyang Special City official stated, “Since cases of support funds being completely forfeited due to failure to use the Munhwa Nuri Card within the period are reported every year, we ask that you make sure to use the 130,000 KRW Munhwa Nuri Card support funds by December 31, 2024.”
