Dongjak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 6th that it will conduct an online vote to select the ‘Top 10 News’ that became a source of pride for residents among the various policies introduced this year.
The ‘Top 10 News’ survey is a vote on the major Dongjak-gu projects that resonated most with residents throughout the year. It was prepared to listen to the voices of residents regarding district administration and to reflect them in policy formulation and the promotion of various projects.
The voting targets include ▲the nation’s first monthly rent of 10,000 won to solve youth housing issues, the ‘Youth 10,000 Won Housing Series’ ▲Seoul’s first Filial Piety Call Center and other ‘Filial Piety City Dongjak, Filial Piety Package’ ▲Dongjak-gu’s urban development leading project ‘Designation of Namseong Station Area Revitalization Project,’ among 58 projects.
Among the numerous projects promoted throughout the year, the selection focused on major key projects such as those first introduced in Dongjak-gu and those that resolved residents’ long-standing demands. Any Dongjak-gu resident can vote through a Naver form survey until the 17th of this month. Voting can be done online without any separate registration process, and voters can select 10 items in any order from the 58 major news items selected by the district.
Details of each policy and participation methods can be checked by accessing Dongjak-gu Office’s official social media services (blog, Instagram, Facebook). To encourage active participation, an event will also be held where 100 voters will be randomly selected to receive gifticons.
The district will select the 10 projects with the highest votes as this year’s Top 10 News, announce them at the New Year’s meeting next month, and use them for district administration promotion such as publication in the district newsletter.
Mayor Park Il-ha said, “This year has been a time of relentless effort to create Dongjak, a city of the highest value that residents can be proud of,” adding, “In 2025, we will continue to achieve visible results in all areas including urban development, welfare, daily life, and economy together with the residents of Dongjak-gu.”
