At the event, the Citizen Promotion Committee awarded appointment certificates to the heads of the promotion committees for eight neighborhoods, including Galmae-dong, to unite the will of the citizens and expand activities promoting incorporation into Seoul, in line with the smooth administrative procedures such as Guri City's "Guri-Seoul Incorporation Effect Analysis Service Commencement."
The newly appointed heads of the neighborhood promotion committees are Park Seung-won of Galmae-dong, Cho Seung-hyun of Donggu-dong, Yang Hoo-seon of Inchang-dong, Yang Young-mo of Gyomun 1-dong, Jeon Mi-kyung of Gyomun 2-dong, Ji Yoo-bong of Sutaek 1-dong, Shin Hong-sun of Sutaek 2-dong, and Lee Young-haeng of Sutaek 3-dong, totaling eight people.
The co-chairmen of the Citizen Promotion Committee (Sangbae Lee, Chunbon Lee, Kyungguk Kwak) collectively stated, "Together with the eight newly appointed neighborhood promotion committee heads, we will promote various publicity activities and citizen participation campaigns to further activate the movement for incorporation into Seoul."
Meanwhile, the Citizen Promotion Committee is a private organization formed to promote Guri City's incorporation into Seoul. Since its inauguration ceremony in February, it has actively promoted incorporation into Seoul through large-scale publicity activities such as the citywide signature campaign and street campaigns at the Guri Canola Flower Festival in May and the Guri Cosmos Festival in October, while recruiting over 1,000 members to actively encourage citizen participation in the incorporation activities.
