Democratic Party Gyeonggi-do Women's Committee: "Yoon Seok-yeol, Leader of the Rebellion, Must Be Arrested Immediately"

The Women's Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea Gyeonggi Province Party adopted a statement on the 6th condemning President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of martial law and urging immediate impeachment.

On the same day, the Women's Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea Gyeonggi Province Party held a press conference at the Gyeonggi Provincial Council briefing room, stating, "President Yoon Seok-yeol, who has confessed to the crime of rebellion, belongs not in Yongsan but in prison," and added, "He must be impeached immediately and arrested without delay."

The Women's Committee particularly pointed out, "The entire nation spent the night in fear due to the martial law rebellion crisis. Heavily armed martial law troops aimed their guns at the National Assembly, and the economy, security, diplomacy, and politics are sinking into a serious quagmire."

They continued, "Yoon Seok-yeol, who caused this crisis, still shows no remorse and has no intention of stepping down. He even tries to justify his actions with absurd logic, claiming that violations of the Constitution and Martial Law Act and acts of rebellion were merely 'warnings' directed at the opposition party," criticizing, "This is an admission that the declaration of martial law was an unconstitutional act that did not meet even the minimum requirements."

They also stated, "The only solution to overcome this unprecedented national crisis is to suspend Yoon Seok-yeol's duties through impeachment," and asserted, "The ringleader of the rebellion is President Yoon Seok-yeol, who declared martial law, and the place for the ringleader of the rebellion is not Yongsan but prison."

At the press conference, the Women's Committee called for ▲ the National Assembly to immediately impeach President Yoon Seok-yeol ▲ the People Power Party to join in the impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol ▲ the police to immediately arrest President Yoon Seok-yeol as a traitor involved in rebellion.
