Yangpyeong-gun Achieves 10 Consecutive Years of Welfare Administration Award Success

Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jin-seon) announced on the 6th that it has won the Welfare Administration Award for excellent performance in five categories of the '2024 Ministry of Health and Welfare Regional Welfare Project Evaluation,' marking the honor of winning the award for 10 consecutive years.

The Welfare Administration Award is given by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to outstanding cities and counties nationwide based on the evaluation of regional welfare projects.

Yangpyeong-gun was recognized in the regional welfare project evaluation for △Excellence in Disability Policy △Best in Public-Private Cooperation and Resource Linking △Excellence in Providing Visiting Health and Welfare Services △Excellence in Solitary Death Prevention and Management △Excellence in Operating the Public Response System for Child Abuse. Additionally, as an excellent institution of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, it was selected for △Basic Pension Project △Dream Start Project. Furthermore, in the Gyeonggi Province welfare project evaluation, it won the highest award in △Implementation Results of the Community Security Plan △Discovery of Neighbors in Crisis and Public-Private Cooperation.

Yangpyeong-gun’s outstanding welfare both domestically and internationally is the result of responding to welfare needs based on a dense human safety net, actively communicating with residents, and building an inclusive community without exclusion. The cooperation of residents who personally practice care and consideration also played a significant role in these achievements.
