FitTogether Receives Top Evaluation in FIFA EPTS Quality Program Test

Sports tech company Fitogether has once again solidified its position as an official Preferred Provider of FIFA by receiving the highest level of evaluation in the wearable category within the 2024 FIFA Electronic Performance and Tracking System (EPTS) Quality Program. This achievement is recognized as a result of Fitogether's technological capabilities, which have grown into a global startup in the sports sector with support from government ministries including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

Building on this success, Fitogether is simultaneously pursuing expansion in the U.S. and Middle Eastern markets. Through a strategic partnership with Qatar Aspire Academy, the company has opened possibilities for entry into major football club networks in the Middle East and Europe. In the U.S., Fitogether was selected as a partner of the MLS (Major League Soccer) Innovation Lab, proving its competitiveness in the global market. Notably, by providing technical support and conducting tests at the MLS All-Star Game, Fitogether has successfully introduced its wearable devices to the local market, accelerating its global expansion.

The FIFA EPTS Quality Program is a global standard that evaluates and certifies the safety and performance of wearable and optical tracking devices used in football matches. The program establishes quality standards for the football technology industry by ensuring player safety and verifying the reliability of equipment that supports data-driven game analysis and operations.

The program is divided into FIFA Basic and FIFA Quality. FIFA Basic grants certification based on equipment safety tests, while FIFA Quality comprehensively evaluates accuracy of location and speed data, as well as device reliability. The evaluation results are announced on a five-level scale ranging from ‘Well-above’ to ‘Well-below’ data accuracy.

Fitogether is one of six global companies certified for wearable EPTS equipment in the 2024 FIFA Quality Program, achieving the highest rating of ‘Well-above’ in all evaluation areas for speed and location accuracy, marking the best performance. In particular, Fitogether demonstrated technical superiority by recording ‘Well-above’ across all areas not only with the RTK GPS-based model Cell Y but also with the Cell X-live model that uses standard GPS. The quality test included global sports tech companies such as Catapult from Australia and STATSports from the UK, with Fitogether achieving outstanding results ahead of Germany’s KINEXON and the UK’s STATSports.

Fitogether CTO Cheolwoo Park stated, "Continuous success in the FIFA EPTS tests was greatly supported by government technology development assistance," adding, "Thanks to support from government ministries, we were able to progress from initial R&D to global commercialization."

Fitogether is currently developing Cell Y, which enables ultra-precise positioning, through the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Scale-up TIPS program, and plans to strengthen its position in the global sports tech market.

Fitogether’s recent achievements can be confirmed through the quality report published on FIFA’s official website, and the company will continue to focus on research and development aimed at innovative sports technology development and leading the global market.
