Kimchi for Kimjang to be Delivered to Foreign Workers in the Area through Shalom House
Gyeonggi Paju City (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 6th that on the 4th, it held a kimchi-making event with immigrants at the ‘Seonggonghoe Paju Migrant Workers Center Shalom House’.

The kimchi-making event was promoted to provide immigrants with an opportunity to experience Korea's kimchi-making culture and to create a time for communication and harmony between local residents and immigrants.
The event was supported by Shin Kyung-jae, chairman of the Paju Saemaul Association, and Lee Myung-hee, head of Bongam 3-ri, Paju-eup. The kimchi made that day will be delivered to foreign workers in the region through Shalom House.
Shin Kyung-jae, chairman of the Paju Saemaul Association, said, “I think this event provided an opportunity to share warm affection while making kimchi together with foreign neighbors.”
Han Kyung-hee, head of the Women and Family Division, said, “It seems that an atmosphere of a society living together with foreign residents has been created,” and added, “We will actively support the establishment of various opportunities for communication in the future.”
