Currently, it is estimated that about 19,000 foreigners live in Paju City, and frequent cases of illegal dumping occur because they do not know the correct way to dispose of waste.

Accordingly, Paju City decided to produce household waste disposal guides in multiple languages, creating a total of 20,000 copies with 4,000 copies per language, which were distributed to each eup, myeon, and dong office on the 4th.

The household waste guide includes information on waste disposal collection times and locations, where to purchase designated garbage bags, methods for disposing of general waste, food waste, recyclables, and large waste by category, as well as fines for illegal dumping. Photos of Paju City's designated garbage bags were also included to make it easier for foreigners to understand.

Shim Jae-woo, Director of the Resource Circulation Division, said, “We hope that foreigners will learn the proper waste disposal methods through the translated guides,” and added, “We will continue promotional activities to establish a proper waste disposal culture and create a pleasant urban environment.”
