Robot-fried bhc Chicken... Twebot Operating Stores Expanded to 22 Locations

Introduction of Frying Robot at Jeju Shinhwa World on the 11th
Great Help in Accident Prevention Due to High-Temperature Oil Usage Characteristics

bhc announced on the 6th that it will introduce the 'TuiiBot (TuiBot)' at its Jeju Shinhwa World branch on the 11th. With this, the number of bhc stores operating TuiBots will expand to 22, and the company plans to continuously increase the adoption of TuiBots going forward.

TuiBot is highly beneficial for preventing accidents among workers due to the nature of the chicken industry, which requires the use of hot oil for long hours in confined spaces. It automates the most challenging and repetitive frying tasks in the chicken cooking process, enhancing efficiency, and has attracted significant interest from chicken franchise headquarters and franchisees.

Accordingly, bhc installed TuiBots at its Jamsil R&D Center in the second half of last year and began trial operations. In March of this year, bhc signed a business agreement with LG Electronics to jointly promote the distribution of TuiBots and has started actively expanding the number of stores adopting the technology.

A bhc representative stated, "Recently, the introduction of TuiBots has helped reduce labor costs due to rising minimum wages and difficulties in hiring staff, as well as mitigate profit declines caused by increased delivery app fees. As a result, franchisees who have adopted TuiBots have shown high satisfaction, and we expect the expansion of stores using TuiBots to accelerate."

In fact, according to a satisfaction survey conducted by bhc targeting franchisees who introduced TuiBots, the reduction of simple tasks such as frequently shaking the frying basket has sped up work, making it easier to handle peak order times. Additionally, the immediate heat discharge system reduced heat inside the kitchen, leading to high satisfaction regarding lower cooling costs. Furthermore, franchisees were pleased with the reduction in labor costs due to the automation of repetitive frying tasks.

Developed jointly by bhc and LG Electronics’ in-house venture, TuiBot optimizes oil temperature and cooking time based on bhc’s proprietary recipes, enabling consistent taste and quality. During the frying process, it performs more than three consistent shakes and automatically removes residual oil, delivering a crispy texture and the best flavor.

Moreover, equipped with an integrated hood and safety door, it minimizes oil vapor and cooking fumes generated during operation, significantly enhancing safety and accident prevention, thereby providing a comfortable and safe kitchen environment.

A bhc representative said, “The great advantage of TuiBot is its ability to consistently deliver the best uniform taste through precise cooking,” adding, “We will strive to improve the working environment of franchise stores and provide economic benefits through the use of TuiBots.”
