The 'Jongno Dullegil' was selected as the best project chosen by the residents of Jongno-gu this year.
Jongno-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeong Munheon) conducted a preference vote called '2024 Jongno, Find the Best Project' to select the major projects that shone throughout the year until the 30th of last month, and announced the results on the 6th.
Following 'Jongno Dullegil', the 2nd place was 'Smart Safe Jongno', and the 3rd place was 'Creating Safe School Routes for Children'. The 4th place was 'Operation of Jongno-style Libraries', 5th was 'Non-stop Jongno from Pregnancy to Childcare', 6th was 'Jongno-in (人) is Jongno Pick', 7th was 'Revitalization of Daehangno Cultural District', 8th was 'Yeonji Park Urban Water Playground', 9th was 'Improvement of Pedestrian Environment for the Visually Impaired', and 10th was 'Senior Care Car'.
The vote was held for a total of 40 days from October 22 to November 30, with 1,441 people participating via QR codes and Kakao Channel. The residents' opinions submitted along with the vote will be reviewed by departments and proposal review committees, and outstanding proposals will be awarded and reflected in the 2025 projects.
Mayor Jeong Munheon stated, "There is nothing more rewarding than feeling and empathizing with the efforts to make Jongno a better city to live in," and added, "We will do our best so that all residents can feel the positive changes in Jongno."
