On the same day, the Ministry announced that it delivered an official letter to the tourism industry, including the Korea Tourism Organization, the Korea Tourism Association Central Council, and the Korea Association of Travel Agents, informing them of the Korean government's measures and stance following the martial law situation.
The Ministry asked the related industry and prospective visitors to be informed that major tourist destinations in Korea are operating normally as usual.
The Ministry also shared with the tourism industry the diplomatic letter sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to foreign missions the previous day. The diplomatic letter stated that daily life in the Republic of Korea is being maintained without change, and there is no impact on tourism or economic activities, so there is no need to adjust travel advisories regarding Korea.
