Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the launch ceremony of the Yeongdeungpo-style welfare safety net, the ‘Yeongrihan Dolbomdan,’ held on the afternoon of the 5th at the auditorium on the 5th floor of the district office annex.
The ‘Yeongrihan Dolbomdan’ means ‘Together with Yeongdeungpo neighbors’ and is a welfare human safety net composed of local residents to identify welfare blind spots and prevent solitary deaths.
The Dolbomdan takes the lead in establishing a detailed care system within the community by promoting welfare services mainly in vulnerable residential areas, identifying households in crisis, and directly visiting socially isolated households to check on their well-being.
The launch ceremony was attended by Mayor Choi Ho-kwon and 51 newly appointed Dolbomdan members, proceeding with the agenda of ▲appointment letter presentation ▲project progress report ▲excellent case presentations ▲demonstration of the artificial intelligence (AI) welfare call service.
Mayor Choi Ho-kwon of Yeongdeungpo District stated, “The Yeongrihan Dolbomdan will play a very important role in resolving welfare blind spots and strengthening the welfare safety net of the local community,” adding, “We will continue to do our best with the Yeongrihan Dolbomdan so that all residents can enjoy a safe and warm care environment and live happy lives.”
