$39 Million Export of K-Smart Farm to Australia... 10ha Scale Strawberry Greenhouse Construction

Exclusive Distribution Agreement Signed with Major Australian Retailer
Expecting Over 10 Million Dollar Additional Orders in Australia

A K-Smart Farm worth 39 million USD (approximately 55 billion KRW) will be exported to Australia. A 10-hectare advanced strawberry smart farm greenhouse will be established, and the strawberries produced will be supplied to major supermarkets in Australia.

On the 6th (local time), the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced that Korean smart farm company GreenPlus signed a contract to build a smart farm greenhouse project worth about 39 million USD in Queensland, Australia, with Pure Green Farm.

Jung Soon-tae, CEO of GreenPlus, said, "Securing an exclusive distribution network for the cultivated crops by pre-signing an agreement with the local major distribution company Premier Fresh was a decisive factor in concluding this large-scale contract," adding, "We also expect additional contracts worth over 10 million USD with other private companies in Australia in the near future."

This contract involves building a total of 10 hectares of advanced strawberry smart farm greenhouses. Pure Green Farm is a smart farm company operated by Red Coconut, an Australian greenhouse specialist company established in 2017. GreenPlus had already signed a contract in September this year to build a 5-hectare greenhouse worth 19 million USD with this company. In 2024 alone, they achieved orders totaling 15 hectares and 58 million USD in the Australian region.

Kim Jong-gu, Director of the Agricultural Innovation Policy Office at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said, "The signing of this contract by GreenPlus is significant as it recognizes the technology and potential of Korean smart farms in Australia, which is transitioning from open-field agriculture to smart agriculture," and added, "We will continue to strengthen cooperation with promising export countries like Australia to help Korean companies secure the smart farm market."
