Based on her expertise and experience in the bio business, which she has been managing, Choi is expected to focus on identifying future growth opportunities for investment at the group level.

An SK official explained, "This is to discover growth tasks at the group level and to quickly create synergy among affiliates."

Choi, who was promoted to a new executive position in last year's year-end personnel reshuffle, has been expanding her management role, attending the SK Group CEO seminar held at the end of October and appearing at the 'SK AI Summit 2024' held on the 4th of last month.

In June, she also attended SK Group's major annual event, the Management Strategy Meeting, for the first time. The Management Strategy Meeting is attended by about 30 key affiliate CEOs and others to discuss strategies for 'qualitative growth' through investment in future growth businesses and sound management.
