CHA-MATE Volunteer Group Donates Cold-Weather Supplies Including Earplugs, Scarves, Hot Packs, and Sleep Socks
Gyeonggi Pocheon City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center (Director Kim Sang-jin) and CHA University of Science and Technology (President Cha Won-tae) announced on the 5th that they held a “Sharing of Winter Warmth Supplies” delivery ceremony at the CHA University of Science and Technology Social Service Center on the 4th.

The CHA University of Science and Technology Social Service Center and the CHA-MATE Volunteer Group prepared 170 sets of winter warmth supplies, including earmuffs, scarves, winter gloves, heat packs, and sleeping socks, to help local neighbors have a warm winter, and donated them to the Pocheon City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
The donated winter warmth supply sets will be distributed in varying amounts according to the number of household members to 106 vulnerable households in Pocheon City, including elderly living alone, grandparent-headed families, and people with disabilities.
A student who participated in the volunteer work said, “I feel proud to be able to take part in such a meaningful activity,” and added, “I hope the prepared items will help many people.”
A representative from CHA University of Science and Technology said, “We hope the prepared winter warmth supplies will give a warm winter to neighbors in need,” and “We will continue to promote various sharing activities for the local community.”
Director Kim Sang-jin said, “We express our gratitude to CHA University of Science and Technology for practicing sharing winter warmth supplies following kimchi-making and briquette volunteer activities. We hope to continue cooperating to improve local welfare.”
Meanwhile, CHA University of Science and Technology concluded its “Warm Winter 2024” activities with the sharing of winter warmth supplies, following kimchi-sharing on the 20th and briquette volunteer work on the 22nd of last month.
