NTCS Co., Ltd. and Safety Management Service Collaboration
Strengthening Customized Response to Emergency Situations
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 5th that it signed a business agreement with NTCs Co., Ltd. on the 3rd to provide safety management for the home medical aid project.
Through this agreement, a system has been established to enable medical aid recipients who have been discharged after long-term hospitalization to live more safely in their own homes.
The home medical aid project supports medical aid recipients with low medical necessity who have been discharged from the hospital after long-term hospitalization to receive home care services such as medical care, caregiving, and meal support at home, helping them to settle healthily in the community. This project has been in operation since July of this year.
The safety management service provided under this agreement allows the recipient to quickly connect to 119 emergency services by simply pressing the button on a button-type transmitter in the event of an accidental emergency. When connected, the recipient’s current illness, primary medical institution, medications, and other medical history information are immediately accessible at the 119 safety reporting center.
Paramedics can respond quickly and in a customized manner by being informed in advance, and emergency alert messages are automatically sent simultaneously to up to 10 guardians.
With the recent rapid aging and changes in family structure such as the increase in single-person households, the vulnerable groups requiring care are increasing every year, and social responsibility for home care is being increasingly emphasized. Integrated home management through the home medical aid project not only fills the care gaps in the community with quality services but also helps vulnerable groups return safely and healthily to daily life at home rather than in hospital beds, greatly contributing to improving their quality of life.
A Goyang Special City official stated, “Through the home medical aid project, we will do our best to provide prompt and customized emergency response services to alleviate the anxiety felt by those living alone or with mobility difficulties, enabling them to enjoy a safer and more vibrant home life.”
