Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeong Wono) is recruiting participants for the ‘2025 First Half Youth Administrative Experience Group,’ which allows young people to experience administrative and welfare work in the public sector.
The ‘Youth Administrative Experience Group’ is a continuation of the university student administrative experience program held annually by the district, providing an opportunity to discover innovative and diverse policies from the perspective of youth.
Starting from the first half of this year, the district has expanded the eligibility to general youth to offer administrative experience opportunities to more young people.
For the first half of 2025, a total of 70 participants will be recruited. Anyone aged 19 to 29 who is registered as a resident of Seongdong-gu as of the announcement date (December 10) can apply. However, those who participated in the youth administrative experience group in the first or second half of 2024 are excluded.
Applicants can apply through the Seongdong-gu Office website’s quick reservation system from December 10 to 17. If the number of applicants exceeds 70, participants will be selected through a random computerized draw. The selection results will be available on December 23 on the Seongdong-gu Office website.
Selected participants will be assigned to the district office, public health center, community service centers, Seongdong Cultural Foundation, welfare centers, and other locations. The selected experience group will engage in administrative and welfare support tasks, participate in workshops, and propose policy ideas from January 13 to February 11, 2025.
The salary will be based on the 2025 Seongdong-gu living wage (11,779 KRW per hour), with a maximum payment of 1.64 million KRW. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Autonomous Administration Division of Seongdong-gu Office.
Jeong Wono, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, "The youth administrative experience group has a significant impact, with some projects currently implemented by the district inspired by policy ideas proposed by the group. We will continue to provide meticulous support so that local youth can experience various administrative sites and deepen their understanding and interest in district administration."
