A water pipe burst occurred at the Seodaemun Station intersection in Seoul, causing a water leak and traffic control.

The headquarters is controlling traffic in the area and conducting repair work. Although there is no water outage damage due to the leak, traffic congestion is severe, so it is recommended to use detour routes. The work is expected to be completed around 10 PM that night.

The repair work is being carried out using a no-water-shutdown blocking method. This method blocks or bypasses water flow to allow replacement of water pipes and valves without shutting off the water supply.

The cause of the leak is presumed to be the burst of an old water pipe installed in 1982 due to vibration.

For detailed traffic information, inquiries can be made to the 120 Dasan Call Center.
