The Korean Film Producers Association announced on the 5th that the film "Seoul's Spring" has been selected as the Best Film at the 11th Film Producers Association Awards (Jehyupsang).
The Jehyupsang awards ceremony will be held on the 17th at 7 PM at Indie Space in Seoul. The Best Director award went to Kim Seong-su of "Seoul's Spring." The film artistically reexamines the so-called "10·26," a pivotal event that shook modern South Korean history in the late 1970s. The Best Screenplay award was given to director Jang Jae-hyun of "Pamyoh."
The Best Actor award was given to Jo Jung-suk for "Pilot," and the Best Actress award went to Kim Go-eun for "Pamyoh." Yeom Hye-ran of "Citizen Deok-hee" received the Best Supporting Actress award, and Ji Chang-wook of "Revolver" won Best Supporting Actor.
The Cinematography and Lighting awards were given to Lee Mo-gae and Lee Seong-hwan for "Seoul's Spring" and "Pamyoh," respectively. The Art Direction award went to Seo Seong-gyeong for "Pamyoh" and "Wonderland." The Editing award was given to Kim Seon-min and Jo Yoo-kyung for "Kim Dae-jung on the Road." The Music award went to Lee Jae-jin for "Seoul's Spring," and the Sound award was given to Kim Byung-in for "Pamyoh." The Technical award was given to martial arts coordinators Yoo Sang-seop and Jang Han-seung for "Veteran 2."
The Best New Director awards were given to Oh Jeong-min for "Jangson" and Jeong Ji-hye for "Jeongsun." The Best New Actor award went to Noh Sang-hyun for "The Love Law of a Big City." This year's Special Award recipient is Lee Ha-young, CEO of Haha Films and an executive committee member of the Korean Film Producers Guild (PGK).
