Successful Completion of the 2024 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project
Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 5th that on the 4th, a closing evaluation meeting was held at the Guri Indoor Gymnasium, hosted by the Guri Senior Club, with 1,200 participants involved in the Senior Employment and Social Activity Support Project.

This event, organized to conclude this year’s employment projects and share the achievements made together with the participants, proceeded in the order of ▲guest congratulatory speeches ▲2024 project report ▲commendations for senior employment contributors ▲celebratory performances ▶viewing of the closing evaluation video and photo sessions. The seniors who attended shared their joys and regrets from the past year, encouraged each other, and supported each other’s new beginnings.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “I send a hearty round of applause to the seniors who have diligently and faithfully worked at their assigned jobs through all kinds of weather throughout the year,” adding, “We will continue to promote various high-quality projects to bring joyful changes and a happy life to our seniors.”
Kim Su-ji, Director of the Guri Senior Club, expressed gratitude, saying, “We thank many people who helped the Guri Senior Club to be reborn as a dedicated institution for senior employment since its opening ceremony before September this year,” and added, “We will grow into a more developed institution by providing jobs that make seniors happy.”
Meanwhile, the Guri Senior Club operates the Senior Employment and Social Activity Support Project to connect seniors’ social experience and professional skills to jobs and volunteer work, allowing them to give back to the local community. In 2024, 1,281 seniors are active across 25 project teams.
