Assemblyman Mok Gyeongjong: "It Doesn't Make Sense to Judge Without Knowing"
Police Chief Jo Ji-ho stated on the 5th that the overall control of the National Assembly blockade following President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of martial law was "requested by the Martial Law Command."
On the same day, during the full meeting of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, Jo responded to a question from Mo Kyung-jong, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, asking "Who gave the order?"
When asked whether it was a request or an order from the Martial Law Command, Jo said, "I don't recall the Martial Law Act clearly, so we need to check whether it was a request or an order."
When Mo pointed out, "Is it reasonable for you to make a judgment without knowing?" Jo replied, "Basically, according to the Martial Law Act, control is to be exercised under the Martial Law Commander's authority."
