During this excavation, following last year's discovery of the first artifact from Taebong, the 'Taebongguk Mokgan,' four additional wooden tablets were unearthed from the circular water collection facility, greatly increasing academic interest. More than 70 visitors, including experts and Yangju citizens, attended, demonstrating high interest in the Yangju Daemosanseong site.

Prior to the open house, Yangju City prepared for the artifact exhibition starting at 1 p.m., presenting the excavation circumstances of the newly discovered four wooden tablets and allowing photography of the four wooden tablets and other major unearthed artifacts.

Notably, the open house publicly revealed to the general public for the first time the circular water collection facility where the four wooden tablets were found, as well as the northern gate site of Yangju Daemosanseong. The event, accompanied by explanations from the excavation team, provided an opportunity to appreciate the advanced construction techniques of Yangju Daemosanseong, a key transportation hub during the Three Kingdoms period.

Additionally, major unearthed artifacts including the four wooden tablets, wooden tools, iron chariots, pottery, and roof tiles were exhibited on-site, offering a diverse viewing experience to visitors, including Yangju citizens.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju stated, “The discovery of four wooden tablets this year, following last year, at Yangju Daemosanseong, a representative Three Kingdoms era heritage site of Yangju, is very encouraging from the city's perspective as the 'historical center city of northern Gyeonggi.' We will continue to strive to enhance the value of historical and cultural heritage centered on Yangju Daemosanseong.”
