Ahn Byeong-gyu Elected as the 16th President of Gwangju Social Workers Association

Candidate Ahn Byung-gyu (54) was elected as the 16th President of the Gwangju Social Workers Association.

Newly appointed President Ahn celebrated his victory by receiving 1,103 votes (89.94%) out of 1,113 votes cast from a total of 1,504 eligible voters in the election held on the 4th.

He stated, "I will do my best to build a strong Social Workers Association so that the value of social workers can flourish," and added, "Through member-centered association management, I will strive to establish a system where all social workers are respected and their voices are reflected."

The term of office is from March 1 next year to February 29, 2028.

New President Ahn currently serves as the 15th President of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Social Workers Association, CEO of the Tium Welfare Foundation, President of the Gwangju Boccia Federation, Director of the Gwangju Social Enterprise Council, and Director of the Gwangju Social Welfare Council.
