Coupang Purchases Over 50 Tons of Hanwoo Beef... 'Hanwoo Day Special Event' Until the 15th

Coupang announced on the 5th that it will collaborate with the Hanwoo Self-Governing Committee, which manages funds for Hanwoo farms, to purchase about 50 tons of Hanwoo beef and hold a 'Hanwoo Day Special Event' until the 15th.

This event features Hanwoo beef of all grades, from '1++' to 'Grade 2'. A total of 117 products are prepared, including Hanwoo sirloin, cuts for soup (gukgari), bulgogi, minced meat, shabu-shabu, and chadolbagi (thinly sliced brisket). Wow members can enjoy faster delivery through Rocket Fresh.

A 10% discount coupon supported by the Hanwoo Self-Governing Committee will also be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The discount coupon can be used once per day. With the maximum discount, Grade 1 sirloin can be purchased for 7,140 KRW per 100g, and bulgogi and gukgari cuts for 2,970 KRW per 100g.

A Coupang representative said, "We planned this event so that customers can enjoy high-quality Korean Hanwoo beef at special prices during the year-end and New Year holidays," adding, "We will continue to prepare various events to promote Hanwoo consumption."
