Jindo-gun Actively Participates in Creating a Dementia-Friendly Society
The Dementia Safety Center in Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 5th that it designated the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Society Jindo District Council as a ‘Dementia Overcoming Leading Organization’ and held a commemorative plaque ceremony.
The ‘Dementia Overcoming Leading Organization’ is a group whose all members complete dementia partner education and actively participate in dementia overcoming activities to create a dementia-friendly society where dementia patients and their families can live with peace of mind.

The Korean Red Cross Volunteer Society Jindo District Council completed dementia awareness improvement education and dementia partner education on August 22 to understand and consider dementia patients and their families. Through this, they plan to actively participate in dementia overcoming activities and the creation of a dementia-friendly society going forward.
An official from the Jindo-gun Public Health Center said, “Dementia requires not only patients and their families but also the local community to participate in overcoming activities,” adding, “Through this designation as a dementia overcoming leading organization, we will work to establish a dementia safety net and become a reliable partner for patients and caregivers.”
