Stroke AI specialist JLK (CEO Dongmin Kim) has secured its eighth comprehensive collaboration contract with the team of Professor Wen-Yueh Chen at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), the world's largest research and development hospital and a Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospital.
On the 5th, JLK announced that it signed a contract with Professor John Wen-Yueh Chen, a world-renowned radiology scholar at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital, securing a foothold in the northeastern United States.
Professor Chen is a leading authority in stroke radiology and has published numerous papers in prestigious journals such as Aging and Disease and medRxiv. This year, he attended JLK's international stroke AI validation seminar, personally experienced the company's stroke AI solution, and praised its excellent technology.
At that time, Professor Chen stated, "I was amazed that AI can detect even very small lesions and make predictions. Given the global increase in stroke incidence and the shortage of medical personnel to accommodate this, I believe this is the most necessary solution in today's era."
MGH, where Professor Chen is affiliated, is the largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, operating various clinical departments and research programs. Located in Boston, USA, it was established in 1811 and is the oldest medical institution in the United States. It boasts world-class clinical and research infrastructure and is known as an academic institution where the largest-scale medical research is conducted annually.
JLK evaluated that through this contract, it would be able to secure high-quality data by promoting collaboration with MGH, recognized as the world's largest research and development hospital. Furthermore, with Professor Chen, who has directly verified the company's technology, joining, it is expected that the superiority of the solution can be more firmly conveyed in the U.S. market. Having secured base hospitals in the U.S. and Canada this year, JLK now has a total of eight bases with this contract.
JLK CEO Dongmin Kim said, "We expect the expansion of base hospitals to accelerate with the contract with MGH, a world-class research and development hospital," adding, "We plan to expedite our achievements in the U.S. market through active use of the solution at base hospitals in the U.S. and simultaneously accelerate our efforts to capture the Japanese market, which is currently underway."
