Reconstruction apartments in Yeouido, Seoul are accelerating their plans for super high-rise buildings. Jinju Apartment near Saetgang Station will be transformed into a building with up to 57 floors, and Sujeong Apartment will be redeveloped into a building with up to 49 floors.

On the 4th, Seoul held the 16th Urban Planning Committee meeting and announced on the 5th that it had approved the designation of the maintenance area and the maintenance plan for the reconstruction projects of Yeouido Jinju and Sujeong Apartments with modifications.


The reconstruction project maintenance area for Jinju Apartment in Yeouido-dong 54, Yeongdeungpo-gu, was planned with a floor area ratio of 503.6% and a maximum of 57 floors, reflecting the 'Yeouido Financial Center District Unit Plan.' This height is comparable to the pilot (65 floors) and Mokhwa (60 floors) apartments, which are also pursuing super high-rise reconstruction in Yeouido. The number of households will increase from the existing 376 to 578 households (including 88 rental units).


The site will include public rental office facilities to foster Yeouido's financial support functions, and a publicly accessible space linked with the nearby Saetgang Ecological Park will be created, transforming the complex into one that harmonizes with its surroundings.

Sujeong Apartment in Yeouido-dong 32, Yeongdeungpo-gu, which was completed in 1976 and has become outdated, will be reconstructed into a building with up to 49 floors and 498 households (including 61 rental units). It is planned as a general commercial area with a floor area ratio of 503%.


Considering its location along the Han River, the shape, layout, and number of floors of the main buildings will be diversified to create excellent waterfront views. A public pedestrian passage connected to the nearby 'Brighton Yeouido' will be established to create a complex that communicates with its surroundings. The Sujeong Apartment reconstruction project has also secured public contribution facilities (Seoul Investment Promotion Foundation office) to foster Yeouido's financial support functions.


The city stated, "After the announcement of the maintenance plan, we will promptly finalize the architectural plans through integrated review so that both projects can be actively promoted."
