Trump Appoints Kelly Loeffler as SBA Head for Second Term... "Helped Secure Georgia Victory"

Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States, on the 4th (local time) nominated former Senator Kelly Loeffler as the head of the Small Business Administration (SBA) for the next administration.

Trump expressed on his social media platform, Truth Social, "I am very pleased to appoint Kelly Loeffler, former Senator and businesswoman from Georgia, as the SBA Administrator," adding, "Small businesses are the backbone of our great economy."

He stated, "Kelly will leverage her business and Washington political experience to streamline administrative procedures and maximize opportunities for small businesses to grow, innovate, and prosper," and "She will also focus on cracking down on waste, fraud, and excessive regulations to ensure accountability to taxpayers."

Furthermore, he introduced her by saying, "Kelly was a tremendous fighter in the first term of the Trump administration in the U.S. Senate," and "She is the Vice President who, along with her husband Jeff, grew a company from 100 employees to a Fortune 500 company with over 10,000 employees." He continued, "Kelly and Jeff also helped me achieve a significant victory in Georgia," emphasizing that she is "a strong believer in the 'American Dream.'"

The SBA Administrator is nominated by the President and must be confirmed by the Senate. The conservative-leaning former Senator Loeffler was previously considered a candidate for Secretary of Agriculture in the second Trump administration.
