The ‘Okjeong Logistics Warehouse Response Promotion Council,’ involving both public and private sectors, will be launched to prepare strategies for the construction of the Okjeong logistics warehouse in Goam-dong, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi Province.
Yangju-si (Mayor Kang Suhyeon) announced on the 4th that it held the inauguration ceremony of the ‘Okjeong Logistics Warehouse Response Promotion Council’ at the city hall situation room.

This council was formed to proactively address anticipated traffic congestion and various inconveniences caused by the construction of the logistics center, and to share roles and progress among departments to develop practical improvement measures.
The council consists of 18 members, including Kim Jeongmin, Deputy Mayor of Yangju-si, as the head, Mayor Kang Suhyeon, members of the Yangju City Council, heads of various departments in Yangju-si, officials from the Yangju Police Station, and citizens.
The inauguration ceremony included sharing the council’s operational direction and anticipated issues, presentations on department-specific tasks, and a Q&A session to exchange opinions.
Going forward, the council plans to comprehensively review various civil complaints related to traffic, environment, and safety concerning the warehouse construction, and to establish practical countermeasures through organic cooperation among departments.
Mayor Kang Suhyeon of Yangju-si stated, “This council was formed to prevent and resolve various issues such as traffic congestion, environmental damage, and safety accidents resulting from the completion of the Okjeong Logistics Center. Through this council, which includes experts and citizens, we will propose solutions and do our best to prevent citizen inconveniences through continuous communication with the public.”
