[Breaking] Democratic Party Proposes Impeachment Motion Against Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun

The Democratic Party of Korea filed an impeachment motion against Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun on the 4th.

On the same day, the Democratic Party announced in a message sent to reporters that the impeachment motion against the Defense Minister was submitted to the National Assembly at 5:45 PM.

The Democratic Party had previously stated that, in relation to President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of martial law the day before, which was lifted following the National Assembly's request, they would accuse President Yoon, Minister of the Interior and Safety Lee Sang-min, and Minister Kim of treason and push for impeachment.

The impeachment motion against Minister Kim is expected to be reported at the plenary session held after midnight on the 5th, along with the impeachment motion against President Yoon, which the Democratic Party has already filed.
