Dangjin City in South Chungcheong Province was selected as an excellent institution for the prevention and management of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases at the '2024 Integrated Health Promotion Project Performance Conference' held on the 29th of last month, and received a commendation from the Governor of South Chungcheong Province.

This performance conference, hosted by South Chungcheong Province and the South Chungcheong Integrated Health Promotion Project Support Group, was organized to encourage institutions that have contributed to improving the health level of residents and the development of the province through health promotion projects.

The city has enhanced health equity among local residents by holding health lectures with invited specialists, conducting health education tours at multi-use facilities, and installing and managing automatic blood pressure monitors at senior centers.

In addition, the city was recognized for its contribution to the prevention and management of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases by operating outreach programs at workplaces and senior centers, which improved residents' self-health management abilities, and thus received the Governor's commendation.
