Every year, the city has been conducting a ‘University Student Part-time Job Program’ during the summer and fall vacation periods targeting university students, but from the second half of this year, it has expanded to the ‘Youth Administrative Experience Program’ to provide all local youth with opportunities to gain social experience.
The eligibility criteria are a total of 25 unemployed youths aged 19 to 39 as of December 9, 2024, who are registered residents in the city. Among them, 4 vulnerable groups such as recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security, lower-income classes, and persons with disabilities (themselves) will be given priority selection.
Also, those whose direct family members currently enrolled in university or graduate school are registered residents in the city can apply, but students who have been selected for the university student part-time job program (youth administrative program) within the last two years are excluded.
The working period is for a total of 3 weeks from January 6 to January 26, 2025, working 8 hours a day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Yangju City Hall, administrative welfare centers, libraries, and other locations.
However, this may change depending on the nature of the work and the conditions of the department.
The salary is based on the ‘2025 Yangju City Living Wage’ standard, with an hourly wage of 11,230 KRW, amounting to a daily wage of 89,840 KRW, and a full attendance monthly wage of 1,617,120 KRW.
Youth who wish to participate can apply online through the Yangju City website, and those selected must submit a resident registration certificate, a copy of their bankbook, ID card, and any special selection supporting documents by email, mail, or in person from the 26th to the 30th.
The selection results will be conducted by a random computerized draw at 2 p.m. on the 19th in the city hall situation room and will be announced on the city website on the 24th.
For more details, inquiries can be made to the Administrative Support Team of the Yangju City Autonomous Administration Division.
A Yangju City official said, “We hope that this Youth Administrative Experience Program will provide young people with opportunities to gain social experience and become a valuable time to increase their confidence in entering society and their economic independence.”
