President Park Hak-gyu was transferred to the Group Control Tower's Business Support TF to oversee semiconductors in the regular president-level personnel reshuffle held on the 27th of last month. Accordingly, the industry has been paying attention to who will take over the vacant position of Head of the Management Support Office and CFO.

Born in 1966, Vice President Park Soon-cheol is a former member of Samsung Electronics' Future Strategy Office and has worked in the Network Business Division, Mobile Experience (MX) Business Division Support Team, and Business Support TF. He is expected to manage company-wide finances, including Samsung Electronics' sales, profits, various investments, and financial planning. Additionally, he will oversee strategies of each department and affiliate companies and participate in decision-making.

Since the CFO position at Samsung Electronics has traditionally been held by executives with financial experience from the Future Strategy Office, Park Soon-cheol appears to be considered a suitable candidate. Until recently, vice president-level executives with financial backgrounds from the Future Strategy Office were also frequently mentioned as potential candidates.

Both former CFO President Park Hak-gyu and President Choi Yoon-ho are experts in finance from the Future Strategy Office.
