Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) will hold the Eulsa Year New Year's Sunrise Event with citizens on January 1, 2025, delivering New Year's greetings to precious people living in Uijeongbu from other regions.
The sunrise event will take place along Jungnangcheon and Buyongcheon, the main streams in the center of Uijeongbu. The mayor will walk in a relay with citizen representatives, and then gather at the final destination, Singok Saebit Garden, to enjoy the sunrise together.
In particular, at Singok Saebit Garden, people living in other regions will deliver and share warm New Year's greetings (letters) to their precious family, friends, and acquaintances residing in Uijeongbu. The mayor and citizen representatives will personally convey these messages along with the overwhelming emotion of watching the first sunrise of 2025.
This New Year's greeting can be submitted via the internet address or the QR code provided in promotional materials.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I want to give a gift of trust to those who worry about the well-being of their family, friends, and acquaintances in Uijeongbu even from afar, assuring them that Uijeongbu will steadfastly protect their precious people in the New Year.”
