The team behind the film 'Firefighter' (directed by Kwak Kyung-taek) announced on the same day that "the Fire Department preview scheduled to be held in Sejong City has been postponed." However, other promotional events, including stage greetings, will proceed as planned. The film, adapted from the 2001 Hongje-dong fire disaster, was planning to hold a preview screening at the Fire Department headquarters for active firefighters, but the event was canceled due to the martial law aftermath.
The team behind '1 Seung' (directed by Shin Yeon-sik) will hold a talk session (GV) and stage greeting with director Lee Joon-ik and actor Park Jung-min as scheduled at Megabox COEX in Seoul in the afternoon. A film official stated, "We will proceed while closely monitoring the situation." The film is the first domestic movie to focus on volleyball, telling the story of a women's volleyball team. Actor Song Kang-ho plays the volleyball team coach, and Park Jung-min portrays the team owner.
As uncertainty grows across the pop culture industry due to the martial law aftermath, causing significant repercussions, the films released on this day are closely watching the tense situation. In addition to '1 Seung' and 'Firefighter,' other films released include 'Expedition Villa' (directed by Kim Seon-guk), 'Sister Yujeong' (directed by Jung Hae-il), 'Tenant' (directed by Yoon Eun-kyung), and 'Loop' (directed by Koo Sang-beom).
