Consecutive Messages on the 'Gyeom Seonpo' Declaration
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon emphasized that he will "take responsibility for the stable daily lives of citizens" in relation to the emergency martial law that was lifted by the National Assembly's resolution overnight.
On the morning of the 4th, Mayor Oh stated through Facebook, "We will do our best to ensure that citizens' daily lives, including Seoul's transportation, public safety, firefighting, and public healthcare, are not disrupted."

He added, "All city administrative services are operating normally, and we will work closely with the police to ensure safety against any potential disorderly situations."
Earlier, when President Yoon Seok-yeol declared martial law the previous night, Mayor Oh held an emergency meeting with the mayoral team at Seoul City Hall. He also canceled his planned overseas business trip starting that day. Mayor Oh officially stated, "I oppose martial law. Martial law must be withdrawn."
