Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province Forest Road Project Evaluation 'Top Excellence' Ganseon Forest Road, Galjeon-ri, Sinan-myeon, Sancheong-gun.

Sancheong-gun received high scores for the newly established main forest road (approximately 1.87 km) in the Galjeon-ri area of Sinan-myeon this year, particularly for minimizing cut and fill slopes, slope greening conditions, and stable longitudinal gradients.

In particular, an ecological stream using existing natural stones was created in a section with constant flowing water, providing an ecological space where flora and fauna can naturally use and inhabit.

This was recognized as an excellent case for creating wildlife ecological corridors that harmonize with the surrounding environment through various eco-friendly construction methods, resulting in a forest road where humans and wildlife coexist.

With this selection as the best institution, Sancheong-gun will be able to participate in the National Forest Road Best Practice Competition hosted by the Korea Forest Service in 2025.

County Governor Lee Seung-hwa said, “The newly established main forest road will be utilized not only for forest disaster prevention and forest project promotion but also for various functions such as forest recreation and leisure sports,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to construct environmentally friendly and disaster-resilient forest roads.”
