Shinsung ENG Wins Ministerial Award for Corporate Innovation... "Leading ESG Innovation with Eco-Friendly Technology"

Sinsung ENG announced on the 4th that it received the Minister’s Award at the ‘2024 Corporate Innovation Awards,’ hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and co-organized by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Since its inception in 1994, the Corporate Innovation Awards is the most prestigious award in Korea, recognizing outstanding companies based on their management innovation and ESG management practices. Through this award, Sinsung ENG has once again solidified its position as an eco-friendly energy solutions company.

During the evaluation process, Sinsung ENG received the highest rating in the ESG category. In the Environment (E) sector, it was recognized for developing eco-friendly products and utilizing renewable energy; in the Social (S) sector, for employee health management and establishing an information protection system; and in the Governance (G) sector, for strengthening transparent management.

Sinsung ENG has installed solar modules at its Yongin and Jeungpyeong sites, supplying 40% of the buildings’ electricity from renewable energy. This reduces approximately 380 tons of carbon emissions annually. Additionally, its self-developed ‘ECO Platform’ is an integrated solution supporting companies’ transition to renewable energy, offering comprehensive services including solar power plant monitoring, cost analysis, and RE100 roadmap establishment.

The company also showed remarkable achievements in product development. The ‘AI Energy-Saving EHP Air Conditioner,’ certified by AHRI 1350, optimizes power consumption through high-voltage energy control technology. The lead-free solar module, the first of its kind in the industry, received eco-friendly KS certification. Furthermore, the solar module for building exteriors, ‘SolarSkin,’ is praised for simultaneously satisfying energy efficiency and design.

Sinsung ENG has also distinguished itself in social responsibility and industrial safety. It actively engages in various social contribution activities such as participating in the Gwacheon City Sharing Relay and donating solar modules to nursing facilities, embodying the values of ESG management. Moreover, it obtained the international information security certification ‘ISO27001’ and voluntarily introduced an ESG management system and audit committee to practice transparent management.
