The Bangkok KTSC was established as the third base after Singapore and Tokyo, Japan, to support global leading tourism companies entering Thailand and to strengthen tourism business cooperation between the two countries. A total of eight tourism companies are expected to be housed here.

The Korea Tourism Organization plans to provide comprehensive support such as local investment attraction, travel industry business contract facilitation, and tax and legal consultations to help Korean tourism companies achieve rapid growth.

About 230 people, including representatives from the National Innovation Agency (NIA) of Thailand, the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA), CP Group, True Digital Park, the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand, as well as tourism companies and startups from both countries, attended the opening ceremony of the Bangkok KTSC held on the 3rd at the InterContinental Hotel Bangkok.

In the first part, business meetings between Korean and Thai tourism companies were held, where nine promising Korean tourism startups explored strategies for entering the Thai market. The second part featured the KTSC opening declaration, presentations of successful cases of Korean tourism companies operating in Thailand, and company pitching sessions.

The Bangkok KTSC is located at Interchange 21, a major business hub in Bangkok, Thailand, and will provide shared office spaces and local networks to resident companies, supporting growth in the Thai market through digital transformation (DX) technologies in the travel and accommodation industries and K-content-based initiatives.

Kim Dong-il, Head of the Tourism Industry Division at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, “The Bangkok KTSC will serve as an important base for entering not only Thailand but also the ASEAN market. The Korea Tourism Organization plans to actively support innovative Korean tourism startups to quickly settle in the Thai market and lead innovation in the tourism industry ecosystem.”
