Gwangju Bank (President Ko Byung-il) announced on the 3rd that it recently delivered ‘Pink Boxes’ worth a total of 20 million KRW for 100 vulnerable female adolescents in the region at its headquarters, with the attendance of President Ko Byung-il, Kim Eun-young, Head of the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, and Kim Hyun-hee, Chairwoman of Gae-narihoe, the Gwangju Bank female employees’ association.


‘Pink Box with Gwangju Bank’ is a social contribution activity between Gwangju Bank and the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation that has been ongoing for five years since 2020, supporting female adolescents in the region who have difficulty purchasing sanitary products.


At the event, President Ko and members of the female employees’ association ‘Gae-narihoe’ gathered to assemble and deliver Pink Boxes composed of about 30 types of health and hygiene products, including feminine hygiene products, wet wipes, heating pads, body care items, and feminine cleansers.


President Ko said, “We make Pink Boxes every year with our employees to ease the worries of adolescents who feel burdened by the cost of sanitary products due to economic difficulties. We will continue social contribution activities to nurture the dreams of local adolescents with the sense of mission as the representative bank of Gwangju and Jeonnam.”


Meanwhile, since 2020, Gwangju Bank has delivered Pink Boxes worth a total of 95 million KRW.
