Visiting Correctional and Protection Sites for a 'Time of Understanding'

The Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch of the Korea Rehabilitation Welfare Corporation (Branch Manager Ko Young-hoon) visited Gwangju Goryong School (Gwangju Juvenile Detention Center) on the 3rd, toured the facility, and took time to understand Gwangju Goryong School by directly observing correctional and protective sites.
The visit included Branch Manager Ko Young-hoon, Chairman Ahn Byung-yeol of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch Council, and members of the University Student Committee's Rehabilitation Protection Committee. This visit was arranged to enhance understanding of juvenile correctional facilities within the local community and to explore cooperation methods related to protection and welfare.
Shin Won-sik, Principal of Gwangju Goryong School, said, "Helping youth make a new start is the responsibility of all of us," adding, "Through cooperation with the Korea Rehabilitation Welfare Corporation, we will do our best to help them grow into healthy members of the community."
Ko Young-hoon, Branch Manager of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch, stated, "We will take the lead in building a social safety net through close cooperation with Gwangju Goryong School."
