The Gyeonggi Youth Community project aims to provide opportunities to strengthen the capabilities necessary for young people to enter society through various activity supports and to nurture youth activists. It targeted youth aged 19 to 39 living in the province with groups of five or more members. The project held an open recruitment in January, and after document screening, a total of 25 teams were finally selected.

Recently, the province held a performance sharing meeting and conducted presentation evaluations. As a result, the grand prize was awarded to 'Sleon' from Goyang City; the excellence awards went to 'Cheongnyeon Nongbu Sadam' from Anseong City and 'Kkinibongsa Dan' from Pyeongtaek City; and the merit awards were given to 'With Us Cooperative' from Hwaseong City, 'Icheongchun' from Icheon City, and 'Bohaeng Gonggan' from Siheung City. These six outstanding communities were recognized for their efforts and achievements and were awarded accordingly.

The grand prize winner, Sleon, was highly evaluated for its efforts to revitalize youth communities and solve social problems, including educational activities targeting young people with slow learning abilities.

The communities selected as outstanding youth communities also greatly contributed to building cooperative networks with local communities. Gyeonggi Province plans to continue expanding opportunities for youth social participation and contribute to regional development through ongoing support and efforts.
