Goyang Industry Promotion Agency Hosts Drone Soccer Challenge 'Sky-Flying Soccer King'

Goyang Industry Promotion Agency (Director Han Dong-gyun) K-High Tech Platform Support Group (Director Kim Jong-sang) announced on the 3rd that the 'Youth Drone Soccer Challenge' for elementary school students in the area will be held on the 21st at the indoor flight center of the Goyang Drone Anchor Center.

This event aims to provide youth with opportunities to develop advanced technology and creativity through drones, while promoting the drone industry and assisting young people in exploring career paths.

Any student enrolled in an elementary school located in Goyang City (grades 1 through 6) can form a team of five members to participate, with registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants in the challenge can borrow drone devices free of charge. The competition follows the regulations of the Korea Drone Sports Association's Liberodrone Soccer Tournament, and the winning team will be decided through a tournament format. According to the results, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will receive medals, certificates, and various prizes.

Additionally, on the day of the event, various side events and attractions will be offered besides drone soccer. At the drone experience zone, visitors can try piloting drones themselves, and an exhibition introducing large industrial drones will also be held.

Kim Jong-sang, director of the K-High Tech Platform Support Group, said, “By experiencing sports integrated with advanced drone technology through drone soccer, participants will have the opportunity to experience future industries, enhance creative thinking, and explore diverse career paths.”
