Building Management Plan, Maintenance, and Safety Management Proven Excellent

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 3rd that it was selected as an excellent local government in the '2024 Building Management Plan System Operation' evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Real Estate Board on the 27th of last month.

This award is given to encourage the dissemination of excellent inspection technologies for the long-term use of buildings and to promote the establishment of the building management inspection system to ensure building safety.

The Building Policy Division and Building Safety Management Center Team of Goyang Special City received excellent evaluations in areas such as ▲establishment of building management plans ▲settlement of regular building inspections ▲performance of building safety diagnoses and emergency inspections ▲building demolition and fire safety performance reinforcement systems in accordance with the enforcement of the Building Management Act.

Additionally, the city conducted maintenance and safety inspections not only for large-scale buildings such as multi-use facilities but also for small-scale buildings to ensure building safety. They are also working on measures for the safety management of aging buildings through a business agreement with the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology.

Kim Jin-won, head of the Building Policy Division, stated, “We will devote ourselves to the maintenance and inspection of buildings in our city to build a sustainable safe city.”
