Yeoncheon-gun Recommends Influenza and COVID-19 Vaccinations

Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 3rd that it is encouraging influenza (flu) and COVID-19 vaccinations.

Yeoncheon-gun Recommends Influenza and COVID-19 Vaccinations Influenza (Flu) and COVID-19 Vaccination Notice from Yeoncheon County. Provided by Yeoncheon County.

Accordingly, during the vaccination period, Yeoncheon-gun is promoting vaccinations at town and township offices, local schools, senior welfare centers, and comprehensive welfare centers. The Public Health Center is also encouraging elderly vaccinations by conducting visiting senior center education sessions.

The most effective way to prevent respiratory infections is to actively carry out vaccinations. Currently, the county provides free influenza vaccinations at the Public Health Center’s vaccination clinic until vaccine supplies run out for Yeoncheon residents aged 60 to 64 (born 1960?1964), severely disabled persons under 65, basic livelihood security recipients, multicultural families, and national veterans.

For COVID-19 vaccinations, free vaccinations have been underway since October 11 at designated medical institutions within the county for high-risk groups, including those aged 65 and older, immunocompromised individuals aged six months and above, and members of infection-vulnerable facilities.

A Public Health Center official stated, “As temperatures drop, respiratory infectious diseases are threatening health. Vulnerable groups with weakened immunity are more susceptible to respiratory illnesses, so we strongly encourage timely vaccinations to ensure a healthy winter.”
