Sacheon-si, Expansion of Senior Job Programs in 2025

Recruitment of 2,950 People, Project Budget of 12.9 Billion KRW Invested

Sacheon City in Gyeongnam Province is expanding and recruiting participants for the ‘2025 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project’ to support the healthy and active retirement life of local seniors.

The number of recruits has increased by 240 from last year’s 2,585 to 2,950, and the project budget has increased by 2.1 billion KRW to 12.9 billion KRW.

This senior job project is implemented in three categories: Senior Public Interest Activity Project, Senior Capacity Utilization Project, and Community Project Group.

The Senior Public Interest Activity Project offers 290,000 KRW in activity allowance for 30 hours per month over 11 months. Participants must be basic pension or occupational pension recipients aged 65 or older residing in Sacheon City. Recruitment is conducted collectively at the administrative welfare centers in the resident’s eup, myeon, or dong districts until the 12th of this month.

The Senior Capacity Utilization Project is recruited by executing organizations: Sacheon Senior Club until the 11th, and the Sacheon Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association until the 12th.

Working conditions include 60 hours per month for 10 months, with a maximum monthly activity allowance of 761,000 KRW (including weekly holiday pay). Participants must be Sacheon citizens aged 65 or older (some projects accept those aged 60 or older).

The Community Project Group receives an activity allowance based on a labor contract, applying a rate 70 KRW higher than next year’s minimum hourly wage, at 11,100 KRW per hour. Sacheon citizens aged 60 or older can apply through the Sacheon Senior Club.

Applicants can submit application forms and required documents at the administrative welfare centers in their eup, myeon, or dong districts (14 locations) or at the two senior job executing organizations, or apply online through the ‘Bokjiro’ website.
